I am writing to apply for the New Grad Nurse Residency position. I earned my BSN in May 2024 and passed the NCLEX-RN in June 2024, and I hold current BLS and ACLS certifications, giving me a strong foundation to begin my nursing career.
During my clinical training, I completed 720 clinical hours, including a 12-week med-surg preceptorship on a 30-bed unit and a 6-week ICU rotation. In these settings I gained hands-on experience with IV insertion, Foley catheter placement, wound care, and patient and family education, while charting in Epic EHR.
I am a quick learner and team player who works well alongside nurses, physicians, and support staff, and I am eager to bring this clinical foundation into a structured new grad residency program where I can continue to grow.
Thank you for considering my application. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss how my clinical training and certifications align with your residency program.
