I am writing to apply for the Research Assistant position. Over the past three years in a psychology department research lab, I have built hands-on experience running statistical analyses in SPSS and R, including cleaning and preparing datasets with approximately 500 participants for analysis.
My work has also included conducting literature reviews, managing up to 15 participant sessions per week, and maintaining CITI certification for IRB compliance on human subjects research. I have trained two new research assistants on study protocol, which has strengthened my ability to communicate procedures clearly and ensure consistency across a research team.
In addition to my core research skills, I bring working knowledge of Python and Excel, including pivot tables for organizing and summarizing data. I presented a poster at a regional conference, reflecting my ability to translate research findings into a clear, professional format for an audience.
I would welcome the opportunity to bring this combination of data management, participant coordination, and compliance experience to your research team.
